NW Recruitment Services Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy operation based in Leyland.
Working as part of a two-person team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock, materials and finished products between company-owned sites.
The role is predominantly local, short-distance driving, with journeys typically covering around 5 - 10 miles between sites, including regular travel between Leyland and Manchester sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday afternoon/evening hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Safely and professionally operate a Class 2 HGV between company-owned sites.
- Transport stock, materials and finished products between locations.
- Undertake predominantly local deliveries and collections, including Manchester.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
- Manoeuvre the vehicle safely around sites, yards and related areas.
- Comply with all relevant driving legislation, company procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional standard when travelling between company sites.
- Work effectively as part of a two-person team.
- Assist with general loading, unloading and site duties where required.
- Maintain excellent standards of reliability, punctuality and attendance throughout the assignment.
£16.50 per hour PAYE (depending on experience)
