The role:

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Luton Van Driver & Assembly Operative to join their team on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis.

This is a varied, hands-on role involving the assembly and delivery of furniture and home furnishings to customers across the North West. Working as part of a 2-person delivery and assembly team, you will be involved in pre-delivery assembly, loading and unloading the vehicle, customer deliveries and, where required, completing assembly work at customer premises.

The role would suit someone with previous experience assembling flat-pack furniture or home furnishings, who is confident using hand tools and takes pride in completing work to a high standard.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a 2-person team to deliver and assemble furniture and home furnishings.
  • Driving a Luton van to complete customer deliveries across the North West.
  • Loading and unloading furniture, furnishings and other materials safely.
  • Carrying out pre-delivery assembly of furniture in a warehouse using a variety of hand tools.
  • Completing assembly and installation work at customer premises when required.
  • Working to build specifications and following assembly instructions accurately.
  • Ensuring completed items are assembled correctly and to the required standard.
  • Taking care when handling furniture and customer property.
  • Providing a professional and courteous service when visiting customer premises.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working area.
  • Carrying out other general duties associated with the role as required.
