Role: Bodyshop Technician Salary range: Between £34,000 – £39,000 depending on experience Shifts: Monday – Friday, day shifts Term: Permanent role Location: Accrington We are working with a leading commercial company that is looking for a skilled Bodyshop Technician to join their team. This role offers the chance to work in a modern, well-equipped environment with excellent benefits and career progression opportunities. As a technician, you will be responsible for repairing HGVs, LCVs, demountable bodies, fibreglass bodies, and company vehicles to ensure they meet O-Licence and DVSA standards. You will work independently, taking on a range of accident damage and body repair tasks. Key Responsibilities • Repairing damaged bodywork on HGVs, demountable bodies, and fibreglass bodies. • Inspecting and repairing demount boxes and demountable bodies. • Carrying out body repairs and fabrication work to a high standard. • Undertaking company car repair work when required. • Ensuring all work meets compliance and safety regulations. • Following company health and safety policies. • Completing all required documentation and reporting to the Garage Manager. • Keeping the work environment clean and organised. Who We’re Looking For • Previous experience in a panel beater or mechanical engineering role (essential). • Strong understanding of body repairs and fabrication. • Experience working on HGVs, LCVs, or other commercial vehicles. • Experience with cars and vans (advantageous but not essential). • Industry-recognised qualification in motor vehicle engineering (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent preferred). • HGV Licence (preferred but not essential). • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
