NVR’s Manufacturing Plant in Prince George, VA is looking to add a team member to our Maintenance team. While you will be the “go to” person for installing/fixing electrical issues you will also be expected to perform non-electrical maintenance work. 1st Shift work hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm (M-F). Pay rate for this position starts at $28.65 and increases based on experience.
Primary Responsibilities- Work independently, and as part of a team, to inspect and maintain machinery and equipment in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Identify and resolve general equipment safety hazards and perform safety repairs as directed.
- Perform troubleshooting, such as diagnosing malfunctioning systems and isolating faults, and repair as needed.
- Utilize generated maintenance schedules to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Perform welding, grinding, fabrication, and flame cutting, as required, to implement general facility repairs.
- Interpret schematics, prints, diagrams, and oral instructions and apply them to the task at hand.
- Operate in accordance with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Remove snow and ice, when weather conditions warrant.
- May assist Maintenance Technician III's in their day-to-day operations and assignments in preparation to assume more responsibilities and further develop technical skillsets.
- Perform miscellaneous maintenance duties, as assigned.
- Provide training and guidance to other Maintenance Technicians.
- 2 years’ experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, more details available upon interview.
- Will be required to demonstrate mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge.
