Newcastle, Sunderland, and Durham areas. As End Point Assessor (Passenger Transport) you will work with Apprentices and their employers to plan, carry out and report on End Point Assessments. Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Making decisions on apprenticeship standards / overall grades
- Administration tasks / responding to queries
- Keeping sector knowledge up to date.
This role is varied and flexible and will include working from home and visiting the field.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
As End Point Assessor you will have a relevant qualification and current, hands-on, professional experience in the Passenger Transport sector as a qualified bus or coach driver. You will also have the following:
- Knowledge of IQA assessment processes/observations
- Experience of professional discussions / reviewing learners’ showcase of evidence
- Ability to work autonomously, in line with an operating framework
- Awareness/understanding learner difficulties/disabilities & social needs
Assessor training is available for candidates with good experience as a bus or coach driver. This role is varied and flexible and will include both working from home and visits out in the field so access to a vehicle is a must.
PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE
When uploading this post we noticed a distinct lack of what we would consider required qualifications. To be an Assessor you would need to hold either an; A1/2, D32/33, or CAVA. Similarly, to be a FE practitioner, in other words, a Trainer, you should hold at a minimum the AET (Level 3 Award in Education and Training). The position does not ask for these so do not feel deterred to apply if you do not possess them. However, it is in our professional opinion you need to have either qualification before applying.
The role of an Apprenticeship End-Point Assessor is to provide independent, fair, reliable, and consistent assessment services to Training Qualifications UK customers working with Apprenticeship Standards. End-Point Assessors are required to use assessment experience with robust and relevant industry knowledge to form judgements and grading decisions upon the completion of a variety of assessment activities.
