Rewarding role as End Point Assessor carrying out apprenticeship assessments for the Passenger Transport sector.

As End Point Assessor (Passenger Transport) you will work with Apprentices and their employers to plan, carry out and report on End Point Assessments. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Making decisions on apprenticeship standards / overall grades
  • Administration tasks / responding to queries
  • Keeping sector knowledge up to date

This role is varied and flexible and will include both working from home and visits out in the field.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

As End Point Assessor you will have a relevant qualification and current, hands‑on, professional experience in the Passenger Transport sector as a qualified bus or coach driver. You will also have the following:

  • Knowledge of IQA assessment processes / observations
  • Understanding of professional discussions / reviewing learners’ showcase of evidence
  • Ability to work autonomously, in line with an operating framework
  • Awareness / understanding learner difficulties / disabilities & social needs

Assessor training is available for candidates with good experience as a bus or coach driver.

Access to a vehicle is a must.

PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE

To be an Assessor you would need to hold either an A1/2, D32/33, or CAVA qualification. Similarly, to be a FE practitioner (Trainer), you should hold at least the AET (Level 3 Award in Education and Training). The position does not explicitly require these, but we recommend having them before applying.

The role of an Apprenticeship End‑Point Assessor is to provide independent, fair, reliable, and consistent assessment services to Training Qualifications UK customers working with Apprenticeship Standards. End‑Point Assessors are required to use assessment experience with robust and relevant industry knowledge to form judgements and grading decisions upon the completion of a variety of assessment activities.
