Overview: This division of a global manufacturing business provides specialist products and solutions to a range of sectors with a focus on sustainability and innovation. They have pioneered a number of technologies to ensure they maintain their position as market leaders by meeting customer demands and prioritising internal investment. As part of this global commitment to continuous improvement, they are embarking on a significant ERP implementation and are seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant to support the finance team on site. The role is offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis (12-18 months) and will report into the Site Financial Controller, providing cover for other team members seconded onto the ERP project.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting month end close process, journals, balance sheet reconciliations etc.
- Management and control of accounts receivable
- Optimising cashflow and minimising outstanding debt
- Assist with accounts payable and expenses processing
- Preparation of quarterly VAT submissions
- Process inter-company accounting transactions
- Support the annual financial audit
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support and develop other team members
- Assist with ERP rollout and new payroll system
Qualifications / Candidate Profile:
You will be joining the company at a busy and exciting time so must have a flexible approach and the ability to demonstrate wide-ranging knowledge of financial accounting, monthly and year-end/audit processes. The ideal candidate could be a fully qualified or studying accountant or QBE. Manufacturing experience would be highly desirable, though not essential if candidates can demonstrate good accounting knowledge ideally gained in an operational, site environment. Experience of working with an ERP or similar complex business systems would be advantageous.
