Location: The Island Free School, Ventnor, PO38 1BG
Hours: 4.30pm to 7.30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour, paid four-weekly
Job Type: Part-time, fixed-term contract for three months
Working Weeks: 43 weeks
Start: Immediate start available
We are looking for a reliable and caring cleaner to work within a school environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of cleanliness in supporting children’s wellbeing, and is comfortable working independently, or as part of a team, after the school day.
Everyday your work helps to create a Clean, Hygienic and Safe environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Whether you have previous cleaning experience or are new to the industry, we'll provide full training, ongoing support, and everything you need to succeed.
What will you be responsible for?
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, halls, and toilets
- Dusting and wiping surfaces, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Emptying bins and replenishing supplies
- Following cleaning schedules and checklists
- Working in line with health, safety, and safeguarding procedures
Please note: This role requires a DBS check.
