Are you an experienced operational leader with a passion for service excellence, people leadership and driving business growth? We’re looking for a strategic Operations Director to lead the design and performance of our service function. This is not a day-to-day operational role. Instead, you will set the direction, structure and performance framework that enables our teams to consistently deliver excellent service across our portfolio.

The Job:

  • Location: Hampshire / South East (with travel across the South East of England).
  • Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday.
  • Salary package: £95,000 to £115,000 p.a. plus £9,300 car allowance, 5% employer pension contribution and benefits.

As we continue to grow, we are evolving our operational structure and have created a new Operations Director role to strengthen operational leadership, support scalable growth and drive high-performing service delivery across the business.

As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, the Operations Director will provide strategic leadership across the service function, shaping the operational strategy, organisational structure and performance framework required to support sustainable business growth. The role will also lead the ongoing development and delivery of our Client Services Plan, ensuring operational excellence and consistently high standards across our business.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of our Client Services Plan, aligned to the company’s strategic objectives and business growth ambitions.
  • Design and implement scalable operating models, organisational structures and performance frameworks that support operational excellence.
  • Oversee service delivery performance through the leadership and development of senior operational teams.
  • Hold accountability for operational profitability, contract performance, margin delivery and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, ISO standards, company policies and governance frameworks.
  • Act as Executive Sponsor for key strategic client relationships, ensuring high levels of engagement and service delivery.
  • Lead, coach and develop senior operational leaders, building capability and driving a high-performance culture.
  • Support business growth through operational input into tenders, solution design and the mobilisation of new contracts.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven senior leadership experience within contract cleaning, facilities management or other service-led environments.
  • A strong track record of managing large-scale, multi-site operations and leading high-performing operational teams.
  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic change and deliver operational excellence.
  • Experience working within education or public sector environments would be advantageous.
