Join Nviro as a Custody Cleaner – Help create Clean, Hygienic and Safe environments

Location: Portsmouth Police Investigation Centre, Portsmouth, PO3 5GE

Hours: Split shift - 12pm to 4pm and 6pm to 10pm, Saturday only

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour, paid four-weekly

Job Type: Part-time, permanent

Start: Start date dependant on the completion of police vetting checks

We are looking for a reliable, discreet, and trustworthy cleaner to work within a police station custody environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of confidentiality, and enjoys working independently in a structured and sensitive setting.

Your work plays an important part in supporting frontline services by helping to maintain a Clean, Hygienic and Safe working environment for police officers, staff, and visitors. Whether you have previous cleaning experience or are new to the industry, we'll provide full training, ongoing support, and everything you need to succeed.

What will you be responsible for?

• Cleaning police station custody areas including cells, holding cells and exercise yards.
• Dusting and wiping surfaces, vacuuming, and mopping floors, and safely cleaning bodily fluids when required
• Emptying bins and replenishing supplies
• Following clear cleaning schedules, checklists, and site procedures
• Working in line with site security, health and safety, and confidentiality requirements

Please note: This role is subject to police vetting.
