Do you have sound experience as an Area Cleaning Manager, a Site Cleaning Manager or a Cleaning Supervisor, either for a single site or an area, and are looking for your next challenge?

If so, you should apply for our position of Area Cleaning Manager for our contracts within the area of North Surrey:

The Role:

  • Area Cleaning Manager.
  • Location: Weybridge.
  • 40 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday.
  • Salary package: £33,500 per annum plus a company van.
  • The area: roughly 40 sites (libraries, fire stations, offices, youth & community centres etc.) spread across North Surrey
  • The team: There are about 60 cleaners, a mobile cleaner and 2 Site Supervisors in your area.

As one of our Area Cleaning Managers on our contracts covering Surrey County Council and Elmbridge Borough Council, you will make sure the cleaning operations run smoothly and to budget. You will be responsible for looking after your team of cleaners on the different sites across North Surrey (Egham, Staines, Weybridge area). Depending on the set up of each site there might be only one cleaner or a team of up to 10 cleaners.

Your role will be to ensure that your team has all the skills and tools they need to thrive in their job to provide clean, hygienic and safe environments for the building users. This includes recruiting, onboarding, and training your team as well as looking after their motivation, wellbeing, and performance. You will also be responsible for ordering the stock for each site, carrying out regular site audits and completing timesheets to make sure everyone is paid correctly every month.

Your sites will be located across North Surrey and visiting your people and your sites is an important part of the job role of an Area Cleaning Manager. As such you will need to be comfortable driving regularly.

You will look after a Mobile Cleaner, who will be able to support with sickness and absence as well as deep cleans. As part of your role, you will create the Mobile Cleaners weekly schedule.

You will be working closely with the other Area Cleaning Managers for the contracts and report into the Service Manager for the area.

This role is a hybrid role, working from your different sites as well as from our friendly office in Send.
