Location: Basingstoke Discovery Centre, Basingstoke, RG21 7LS
Hours: 5pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour, paid four-weekly
Job Type: Part-time, permanent
Start: Immediate start available
We are looking for a reliable and caring cleaner to work in a quiet, friendly library environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, following routines, and taking pride in keeping a well-used community space clean and welcoming.
Your work plays an important role in helping to create a Clean, Hygienic and Safe environment for children, families, students, and members of the local community. Whether you have previous cleaning experience or are new to the industry, we'll provide full training, ongoing support, and everything you need to succeed.
What will you be responsible for?
- Cleaning library areas including reading spaces, desks, offices, kitchens, and toilets
- Dusting shelves, wiping surfaces, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Emptying bins and replenishing supplies
- Following clear cleaning schedules, procedures and checklists
- Working safely and respectfully within a public-facing community building
