Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product engineering leaders, system architects, product managers, hardware engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to drive the successful implementation of projects. Stay up-to-date with new technologies, industry trends, and standard processes and promote their adoption within the team and our wider organization.

Site Leadership: Act as the primary leader for the CoE team, fostering a positive and engaging work environment. Represent the company and promote its values and culture within the India-based team and across the organization. Build up nVent as an attractive employer for software engineers in Bangalore area.

Team Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of engineers, encouraging a culture of innovation, teamwork, and professional growth. Work closely with global peers to capture inputs to define team goals, objectives, and critical metrics, and provide regular performance feedback and mentoring to team members.

Project Management: Lead and prioritize different projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient prioritization, effective risk management, and timely project completion. Coordinate activities with global system architects and program leaders to ensure alignment of priorities and schedules, facilitating effective collaboration and communication between global teams. Engage with colleagues, clients, and partners to collect requirements, provide project updates, and address any concerns or issues promptly. Collaborate with global leadership to align strategies, goals, and processes across different locations. Foster close partnerships with India leaders including HR and finance in country facilitating seamless exchange of information and resources between departments, and enabling effective decision-making and prioritization.

You have:

  • Academic background in Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. Master's degree in related field preferred.
  • Previous experience (10+ years) in electrical infrastructure space and applications, including hands-on development and project management.
  • Proficiency in new product development methodologies, engineering best practices, and related tools.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and collaborators.
  • Proven experience in running multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and driving for results.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
