We are recruiting summer event security staff for a range of events across the Midlands and UK from May to September. Flexible hours from a few hours per week up to full-time.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring entry points and site perimeter patrolling
- Vehicle‑based rapid response
- Access control – ticket and accreditation checks, guest direction and queries
- Crowd control – traffic direction, maintaining order, reporting anti‑social behaviour, ensuring crowd safety plans are followed
- Delivering customer service and support to guests
- Reporting any suspicious behaviour
- Directing customers around the site
Qualifications
- SIA licence in Door Supervision or Close Protection
- Excellent customer service skills; confident speaking to members of the public and helping patrons
- Smart appearance with good personal presentation
- Ability to take charge, make decisions and handle difficult situations with maturity
- Comfortable working long hours
- Checkable work history in the previous five years in accordance with BS7858
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability to work effectively in teams and develop strong team loyalty
- Good observational skills and initiative to act individually or collaboratively as needed
- Willingness to work away from home for several days, sometimes camping
- At least three years’ experience in a security role preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidates
