As a Door Supervisor at hospitality venues across Derbyshire and the East Midlands, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, members, visitors, and staff. This is a customer‑facing position requiring excellent communication skills, a professional appearance, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to a variety of situations. You will be responsible for safeguarding people, property, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service that reflects the high standards of both NVC Security and our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security incidents.
- Prevent unauthorised access and maintain site security procedures.
- Complete incident reports accurately and professionally.
- Support venue management in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Manage access points for guests, members, contractors, and visitors.
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the venue.
- Assist with enquiries, directions, and general customer support.
- Build positive relationships with venue staff, management, and guests.
- Always represent NVC Security and the client professionally.
Requirements
- Successful candidates must have an SIA licence in Door Supervision or Close Protection.
- Excellent customer service skills, confident with speaking to members of the public and comfortable with helping patrons and making them feel safe and secure.
- A smart appearance with good personal presentation.
- The ability to take charge, make decisions and handle difficult situations with maturity.
- Comfortable with working long hours.
- Checkable work history for the previous five years in accordance with BS7858.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Good observational skills and ability to take initiative to act individually or collaboratively as needed.
Appearance & Dress Code

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within hotels, golf clubs, resorts, hospitality venues, or corporate environments.
- Experience in customer‑facing security or concierge‑style roles.
