We are the embedded hiring partner to an established and growing accountancy practice that is continuing to invest in its people, clients, and long-term growth. As the firm expands its client base, they are looking to appoint a Business Services Associate to join its collaborative and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys working closely with clients, managing a varied portfolio, and continuing to develop their technical expertise within a professional and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
You will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting them across accounts preparation, compliance, and advisory matters. Working closely with senior accountants and managers, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service while building strong client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assisting with VAT, personal tax, and corporation tax compliance work
- Producing financial statements and management accounts
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact
- Supporting senior accountants and managers on client assignments
- Reviewing financial information and identifying potential issues or opportunities
- Assisting with client queries and providing proactive support
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members where required

About You
You will have previous experience within an accountancy practice environment and be confident managing client work while maintaining high professional standards. You will demonstrate:
- AAT qualification or be actively studying towards a professional qualification
- 2β3+ years' experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities
- Knowledge of VAT and tax compliance processes
- Proficiency with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- A proactive and organised approach to work
