Employee Engagement Lead | Genuine 4-Day Working Week (Full Pay)
£38,000–£45,000 DOE + Benefits | Derby | Hybrid | UK Travel
Love people, culture and making a real difference? This could be the opportunity for you.
We're looking for an experienced Employee Engagement Lead to join a rapidly growing UK professional services group and help shape the culture and employee experience across an expanding national business.
With new businesses joining the Group and teams located across the UK, we're looking for someone who can bring people together, strengthen engagement and help create a workplace where everyone feels connected, valued and heard.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day. We want someone who enjoys getting out into the business, building relationships, listening to people and turning great ideas into meaningful action.
What You'll Get
- A genuine four-day working week – 34 hours with no reduction in salary.
- Hybrid and flexible working.
- 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays (five-day equivalent, pro-rated).
- Enhanced family-friendly policies.
- Career development and progression opportunities.
- The freedom to bring fresh ideas and genuinely influence workplace culture.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the Chief People Officer and wider People Team, you'll take ownership of employee engagement initiatives across the Group.
You'll be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering engaging people and culture initiatives.
- Visiting offices across the UK, building relationships with employees and leadership teams.
- Managing employee engagement surveys and turning feedback into meaningful improvements.
- Supporting newly acquired businesses and helping their teams feel part of the wider Group.
- Creating employee recognition programmes that celebrate success.
- Working with senior leaders to strengthen communication, collaboration and employee experience.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in someone who brings energy, creativity and a genuine passion for people.
Ideally, you'll have:
- At least three years' experience in employee engagement, internal communications, employee experience or a similar role.
- Experience working across multiple sites or locations.
- A track record of delivering engagement initiatives that make a difference.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing positive change.
- The ability to turn employee feedback into practical action.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach and a willingness to travel across the UK.
Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions or cultural integration would be particularly valuable.
Why Join?
This isn't your traditional professional services business. It's an ambitious, growing organisation that's passionate about building a workplace where people genuinely enjoy working.
As the business continues to expand, this is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping its culture, connecting its people and influencing how it grows.
If you're passionate about people, love bringing teams together and want a role where your ideas can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
