Python Developer – Azure DevOps
Contract | Inside IR35 | Day rate DOE | Hybrid / UK
Contract Python Developer needed to build software and own how it gets into production.
This is not a ticket-only engagement. You will work with delivery, product and stakeholders, explain trade-offs clearly, and keep work moving. If you prefer to sit in the backlog and only work Jira items, do not apply.
The work
- Develop and maintain Python services and tooling
- Own CI/CD in Azure DevOps — YAML pipelines, environments, approvals, releases
- Improve build, test and deploy practice, not just deliver features
- Work directly with non-technical colleagues and help unblock delivery
- Operate at pace in a busy environment with changing priorities
What you need
- Strong commercial Python experience
- Hands-on Azure DevOps: pipelines, repo strategy, artefacts, release process
- Solid CI/CD judgement — you have owned this, not just used someone else’s setup
- Clear communicator; comfortable in the room, not only on Slack
- Happy working inside IR35 via an approved umbrella / PAYE route
