Contract Data Architect – Microsoft Fabric
Mainly Remote, Occasional Travel to Manchester
Initial 3-month contract (likely extension)
We're looking for an experienced Data Architect to provide architectural leadership and assurance across a Microsoft Fabric programme.
This is a hands-on, strategic role requiring someone who can assess the current architecture, challenge existing approaches where necessary and establish a clear roadmap for delivering a scalable, well-governed data platform.
Key responsibilities:
Review and provide assurance on the existing Microsoft Fabric architecture and programme delivery.
Identify architectural gaps, risks and areas for improvement.
Define a clear architectural roadmap and recommend changes where required.
Ensure the right foundations are in place around data modelling, integration, governance and scalability.
Work closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders to guide delivery.
What we're looking for:
Strong background in data architecture, with significant Microsoft Fabric experience.
Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise data platforms.
Ability to independently assess and challenge architectural decisions.
Strong understanding of Azure data technologies, data modelling and governance.
Comfortable operating at both strategic and technical levels.
