Overview
As a Senior EC&I Designer, you will deliver EC&I activities to scope, quality, schedule and cost targets, supporting the Design Manager. You will own CAD aspects of EC&I work packages and maintain as-built updates, while ensuring quality management and documentation controls. You’ll communicate risk and hazards to the engineering team, upholding safety and design standards. The role sits within NUVIA UK’s Technical Services & Consulting, contributing to regulated nuclear projects with a strong culture of safety and excellence. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position in a growing multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Deliver EC&I design activities to scope, quality, schedule and cost targets
- Produce and update detailed EC&I drawings (CAD) and maintain as-built status
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and Technical Manual
- Document processes with records and apply configuration and quality controls
- Communicate Risk Assessments to staff and contractors to manage hazards and risks
Key requirements
- Experience designing EC&I systems, preferably in a nuclear context
- Extensive experience drawing EC&I related systems
- AutoCAD experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of technical design development
- Understanding of engineering design and safety practices related to discipline and project requirements
- Familiarity with company and departmental procedures for Design, Health & Safety and Quality
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering computer applications
- HNC EC&I Engineering related discipline
