Mechanical Process – Designer / Engineer / Senior / Principal

We are seeking all levels of Mechanical Process individuals to join NUVIA UK to support with exciting nuclear defence projects.
NUVIA UK\’s Technical Services & Consulting department is fast growing with hybrid opportunities available up and down the country. We\’re striving to create a multidisciplinary team to offer our clients the best range of talent.
Your role will be supporting with mechanical, mechanical process and mechanical services aspects on the work packages such as mechanical process systems consisting of piping, vessels, valves, manifolds and instrumentation that provides functionality to the vessel.
The role will be varied and your responsibilities will depend on your level.
As the Mechanical Process Designer, you should have:
- Previous experience of designing a mechanical services / process systems in nuclear, defence or other highly regulated industry.
- Autodesk Inventor experience.
As the Mechanical Process Engineer, you should have:
- BEng/BSc in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
- Previous experience of designing a mechanical services / process systems in nuclear, defence or other highly regulated industry.
- Understanding of hydraulic / pressure calculations.
As the Senior Mechanical Process Engineer, you should have:
- BEng/BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
- Strong experience of designing a mechanical services / process systems in nuclear, defence or other highly regulated industry.
- Understanding of hydraulic / pressure calculations.
- Understanding of hazard identification and analysis associated with process systems.
- Experience checking design documentation.
- CEng or working towards (desirable).
- Line management experience of 1-2 direct reports (desirable).
As the Principal Mechanical Process Engineer, you should have:
- BEng/BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
- CEng or working towards.
- Strong experience of designing a mechanical services / process systems in nuclear, defence or other highly regulated industry.
- Understanding of hydraulic / pressure calculations.
- Understanding of hazard identification and analysis associated with process systems (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP etc).
- Experience checking design documentation.
- Line management experience of 3+ direct reports.
- Understanding of IEC 61511 (desirable).
