Why join the LR&C team?
We like to think of the LR&C team as an intrapreneurial unit, i.e., a start-up initiative delivered within the confines and security of a successful and established nuclear, engineering company. We believe that land remediation is not just about removing contamination, it is about restoring confidence, protecting the environment and enabling the safe reuse of land for future generations. Our LR&C services combine decades of experience, proprietary technologies, and a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable solutions.
Since the late 1990s, we’ve been developing and refining in-situ radiological measurement technologies to support land remediation and decommissioning. Our systems are designed to optimise segregation at source, reduce waste volumes and enable the use of lower-impact waste management options. From legacy nuclear facilities to former industrial sites, we provide the tools, expertise and data to enable confident decision-making.
We offer a complete range of services, including radiological surveying and mapping of land, buildings, pipelines and boreholes; classification and segregation of excavated materials; sampling and fingerprinting of radionuclides; and real-time data management to track waste from generation to disposal. Our team also supports clients with environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and the development of waste management strategies tailored to each site’s needs. Whether it’s supporting clearance, delicensing, or redevelopment, we deliver practical, auditable solutions that meet the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
