To provide a financial management accounting service to the Managing Director of ‘Projects, Engineering & Decommissioning’ (PE&D) and their management team, with the objective of optimising financial performance.
To ensure compliance with accounting regulations, policies, and Nuvia accounting procedures.
Provide a project accounting service for PE&D projects, working with Operations and Project Management.
Provide a management accounting service to business resource centres.
Collaborate with other Finance staff at all levels across the company.
Help provide support and guidance for the Project Accountant Support.
Finance Business Partner of Projects, Engineering & Decommissioning.
Data Maintenance/Integrity:
- Maintain project work orders, budgets, project relations, monitor integrity of data and clear suspense.
- Support and prompt Project Managers in sales invoicing, produce invoice support schedules and assist with debtor payment.
Project Support:
- Support financial management of projects, especially major ones.
Financial Advice & Control:
- Provide financial advice and ensure compliance with company financial policies/procedures.
- Oversee data integrity including ensuring:
- Projects are opened/closed promptly and in accordance with contract terms.
- Project budgets & contract values are maintained in the accounting system.
- Periodic cost reconciliations undertaken against accruals & processing journals.
Excellent IT skills (especially Microsoft Excel).
Studying towards or an ambition to become a qualified Accountant.
Experience of management/project accounting in a contracting business.
