Position – Senior CE&I Engineers
Location – Hinton House, Warrington
Hybrid working – Minimum of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote
Arrangement – Contracted (Inside IR35) or Permanent
Salary – Dependent on experience
NUVIA UK's Technical Services & Consulting department is fast growing with hybrid opportunities available up and down the country. The Senior CE&I Engineer will be required to deliver work packages across various systems scope, across all three SEP machines, in a wide variety of Control, Electrical & Instrumentation problem solving scenarios. The engineer will be required to produce and/or check safety system deliverables to support delivery of SEP1 Design Justification Report.
Essential experience of a Senior CE&I Engineer:
- Preferred CEng/Ieng status or equivalent experience
- Experience of production and/or checking of Functional Safety design substantiation and Safety Case Deliverables (Including design realisation calculations) for systems up to SIL1, in accordance IEC 61508
- Experience in delivering fit for purpose CE&I design solutions to cost schedule
- Ability to break down problem/issue into constituent parts and present options for resolution
- Able to contribute to the production of, deliver to, and report on plans of work
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders
- Has a working knowledge and understanding of regulations relevant to the delivery of CE&I Equipment (CDM, PUWER, Machinery Safety BS13489/62061, BS7671, Industrial installation methods and UKCA/CE etc)
- Is familiar with engineering drawing (including checking) and standards relevant to their production
Desirable experience of a Senior CE&I Engineer:
- Ability and evidence of applying engineering judgment to make evidence and risk-based decisions
- Experience of creating design specifications and supporting panel build/installation queries/issues
- Experience in production of Design risk assessments, Installation method statements, EO packs, supporting Quality Requirements and O&M documents
- Experience in the production of Technical files and accompanying deliverables and familiar with the EHSR’s
- Experience of PLC/SCADA control systems and network architecture
