Mechanical Engineer
Location: Milton Park, Oxfordshire

Purpose of the job
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with extensive knowledge and practical application of mechanical engineering within highly regulated industry sectors.
The Engineer plays a key role in providing a design engineering service. They are responsible for producing discipline-specific design and engineering deliverables to support projects.
Reporting to
Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer, or the Project Engineering Manager / Nominated Engineer, depending on the project complexity.
Key Accountabilities
- Developing designs to meet technical specifications.
- Preparing design deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Checking discipline-specific design deliverables and calculations.
- Contributing to design and safety reviews.
- Preparing technical specifications and documentation for installation, commissioning, and operation.
- Ensuring quality and timely delivery of design documentation.
- Maintaining compliance with safety legislation and regulations.
- Developing cost-effective technical solutions.
- Staff development and mentoring.
Duties & Requirements

- Fundamental knowledge of your engineering discipline.
- Experience in design within highly regulated industries.
- Proven success in delivering design solutions.
- Understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations.

- Experience in the nuclear industry.
- Management of design teams and subcontractors.
