Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Type: Permanent
Description of the assignment
Purpose of the job: The EC&I Engineer is responsible for producing discipline-specific design and engineering deliverables to support the project.
Reports to:
Senior or Principal EC&I Engineer
Key Accountabilities:
- Development of designs to satisfy the technical specification
- Production of design deliverables throughout the design process
- Preparation of installation, commissioning, and operating documents
- Contribution to design reviews and safety reviews
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Ensuring quality and timely delivery of design documentation throughout all phases of the design process
- Compliance with safety legislation and statutory regulations
- Developing cost-effective technical solutions
Profile:
Occupational Skills and Knowledge:
- Degree qualified in a relevant technical/engineering discipline or demonstrable experience
- Working towards or already have Professional Registration in a discipline-specific engineering institution (e.g., EngTech or IEng with the IET)
Duties and Requirements:
- Knowledge of fundamentals within your engineering discipline
- Previous experience in design within a highly regulated industry
- Proven track record of delivering successful design solutions
- Good understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Full membership of a discipline-specific engineering institution
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience working within the nuclear industry (advantageous)
- EC&I design integration with control systems (PLC/SCADA) (advantageous)
