This is a unique opportunity to be involved with the generation on Hinkley Point C, a nuclear power station in Somerset, set to power six million homes with low‑carbon energy to support the UK’s net‑zero goals.

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable.

The Construction Delivery Group forms part of a fully integrated Site Construction Directorate, whose objective is to facilitate the planning and delivery of the HPC Project as Principal Contractor, meeting the safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives for the Project.

The M&E SCDM should be on site 30% of their time and in the office 70%, attending/leading/chairing meetings, producing reports, and overall managing their team. This ratio is guidance only and may change.

The M&E SCDM is expected to adhere to company policies, procedures and protocols to ensure the project’s safety, environmental, quality standards and schedule milestones are achieved.

Principal Accountabilities Of a Construction Delivery Manager –
  • Act as the subject matter of expertise.
  • Manage direct reports and line management responsibilities to CDL(s) / CDM(s).
  • Provide support and guidance, ensuring appropriate training for CDL(s) / CDM(s).
  • Manage programme against safety, quality, schedule and cost concerns by recommending measures to mitigate risks and issues.
  • Oversee all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental best practices during construction activities.
  • Adhere to CQAP quality standards; ensure quality is always delivered.
  • Ensure weekly planning meetings are organised.
  • Attend all appropriate coordination meetings for their programme of works; ensure clear, two‑way communication between stakeholders.
  • Proactively coordinate with other site teams to maintain good communication links and ensure activity is well reported and timely.
  • Work closely with contract SPMs/PMs to provide support and guidance for responses to contractual correspondence.
  • Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns, along with program restraints.
  • Act as Lead Reviewer (or Reviewer as SME) for documents submitted by the contract partners on Teamcenter.
