The Role

What the Role Involves

  • Your responsibilities will include attending private homes and properties to undertake comprehensive building surveys, providing expert guidance on heritage matters, and when required, overseeing contract administration for heritage projects.
  • You will also be working alongside the Head of Heritage and Conservation to develop the heritage consultancy services.

Requirements

  • AssocRICS or Registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
  • A minimum 3+ years of Building Surveying experience.
  • MRICS status (desirable but not essential).
  • Heritage accreditation or an interest in working towards - CR/CA/SCA/AABC/RICS heritage certification.
  • AutoCAD experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in Contract Administration (desirable but not essential).
  • Heritage experience - an understanding of pathology, defects and regulations and policies that underpin heritage is desirable, but you are also motivated to enhance knowledge and expertise of historic building maintenance, repair and conservation, including relevant legislative requirements.
  • Clean UK driving licence.
