Your Mission:
- Working closely with Finance, Risk and Compliance, you will lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of the new UK Safeguarding framework under FCA PS25/12.
- Establish a global safeguarding framework to ensure that all regional regulated entities operate in line with local safeguarding requirements, including (but not limited to) the EU, Canada and Singapore.
- Report to Global Head of Banking; play a central role in embedding these requirements across the business, working collaboratively with the Banking, Finance, Risk and Compliance teams.
- Accountable for the ongoing effectiveness, governance and regulatory compliance of the safeguarding framework, bringing subject matter expertise to ensure the firm’s processes and controls meet evolving regulatory expectations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of Nuvei’s Safeguarding framework in line with FCA PS25/12.
- Establish and maintain a global safeguarding framework to ensure regional regulated entities comply with local safeguarding regimes.
- Oversee the effectiveness of Nuvei’s Safeguarding and Reconciliation processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert to senior management and key stakeholders on CASS and safeguarding regulations.
- Own the firm’s CASS and Safeguarding governance artefacts, including the Resolution Pack, Procedures, Control Matrix and regulatory returns.
- Work with Compliance, Finance and Risk to update Safeguarding Policies, Procedures and Controls (PPCs) so they align with PS25/12 and global safeguarding requirements.
- Design and execute a risk-based quality assurance and testing programme across safeguarding, reconciliation and client money controls, aligned to current and emerging regulatory expectations.
- Manage the annual CASS audit, including coordination, remediation of findings, and senior management reporting.
- Continuously review and enhance operational safeguarding and reconciliation processes, leading change from discovery through to implementation.
- Partner with Finance and Compliance to deliver regulatory client money reporting and MI to the FCA and other regulators.
- Develop and maintain enhanced daily, monthly and Board-level safeguarding MI, providing meaningful oversight and regulatory assurance.
- Support the Global Banking team with ensuring safeguarding compliance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with CASS and safeguarding regulations in a regulated financial services firm.
- Management and financial reporting experience.
- Able to communicate and present complex topics in a simple and easy to understand format to a number of varying business critical stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of data analysis, and process improvement techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A track record of managing and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
