Are you an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with forensic expertise? We are seeking a confident and dynamic Forensic Mental Health Nurse Lead to join our supported living services. This is a leadership-focused role with responsibility for conducting comprehensive forensic assessments across multiple locations, including national travel.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and co-ordinate forensic nursing practice across supported living services.
- Conduct high-quality, evidence-based forensic risk assessments and clinical evaluations.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of care/treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies (e.g., commissioning bodies, community services, clinical teams).
- Promote best practice in risk management and forensic mental health care.
- Support service quality improvement and compliance with relevant standards/regulations.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current UK NMC registration.
- Proven experience in a forensic mental health setting, including conducting assessments.
- Strong clinical leadership and communication skills.
- Ability and flexibility to travel nationally to undertake assessments.
- Sound risk formulation and management capabilities.
- Experience in supported living or community forensic care.
- Post-registration qualification in forensic mental health or leadership.
- Experience of service development or quality governance.
