Are you an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with forensic expertise? We are seeking a confident and dynamic Forensic Mental Health Nurse Lead to join our supported living services. This is a leadership-focused role with responsibility for conducting comprehensive forensic assessments across multiple locations, including national travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and co-ordinate forensic nursing practice across supported living services.
  • Conduct high-quality, evidence-based forensic risk assessments and clinical evaluations.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of care/treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies (e.g., commissioning bodies, community services, clinical teams).
  • Promote best practice in risk management and forensic mental health care.
  • Support service quality improvement and compliance with relevant standards/regulations.
Essential Criteria
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current UK NMC registration.
  • Proven experience in a forensic mental health setting, including conducting assessments.
  • Strong clinical leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel nationally to undertake assessments.
  • Sound risk formulation and management capabilities.
Desirable
  • Experience in supported living or community forensic care.
  • Post-registration qualification in forensic mental health or leadership.
  • Experience of service development or quality governance.
