Location: Nutrition Group - Blackpool, FY4 4QE Salary: Competitive, DOE Contract: Full-Time | Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm)(Includes two paid 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break) The Role The Warehouse Operative plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse.

Working as part of a busy team, you'll support all warehouse operations, including goods in, stock control, picking, replenishment and dispatch, helping to ensure production and customer requirements are met.

You'll maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping while following company procedures and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations

  • Pick stock accurately against works orders and production requirements.
  • Supply production departments with materials in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, pack and dispatch finished goods accurately and efficiently.
  • Receive, check and book incoming deliveries into the warehouse.
  • Store stock safely and accurately within designated warehouse locations.
  • Ensure stock rotation procedures (FIFO) are followed where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate stock control through good warehouse practices. Equipment & Resource Management
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Complete daily equipment checks, including forklift inspection records where required.
  • Report equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and safe working practices. Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Maintain clean, organised and hazard-free warehouse areas at all times.
  • Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
  • Report any damaged stock, discrepancies or safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Support the company's commitment to quality, customer service and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or logistics environment.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment.
  • Good communication skills and a positive team-working attitude.
  • Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work. Desirable
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or previous FLT experience.
  • Experience using warehouse management or stock control systems.
  • Knowledge of stock rotation (FIFO) procedures.
  • Experience supporting production or manufacturing operations.
