What You'll Do:
- Reporting to the Senior Manager, Plant Finance, Potash, this position is primarily responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and partnering with the New Brunswick Site Leadership Team to provide insightful financial analysis that supports informed decision‑making and effective monitoring of key business activities.
- Complete the month‑end close process accurately in line with reporting deadlines.
- Manage Fixed Asset and Capital Accounting activities.
- Calculate, process, and report on statutory, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare the annual operating budget and monthly operating forecasts.
- Partner with the business to provide financial insight and acumen to support site‑level decision‑making.
- Provide recommendations and alternatives to site leadership to optimize financial performance.
- Deliver financial analysis and oversight to guide decisions aligned with both short‑term and long‑term business strategy.
- Analyze, interpret, and provide forward‑looking financial information to support senior leadership decision‑making.
- Review costs to improve visibility and understanding of cost drivers; identify trends and assess implications on future costs, and communicate insights to site personnel in a timely manner.
- Drive accountability to financial targets through regular cost review meetings.
- Provide thought leadership on continuous improvement initiatives, including analysis and validation of results.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and support to various stakeholders as required.
What You'll Bring:
- Post‑secondary degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 8+ years of post‑qualification experience in a related field.
- Professional accounting designation (i.e. CPA) required.
- Ability to partner with stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver business objectives.
- Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional analytical capability with the ability to scope, analyze, and resolve complex business issues.
- Demonstrated experience in business partnering with a strong desire to add value and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong integrity and commitment to business ethics.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong proficiency in enterprise systems and analytical tools.
