What you’ll do
As a Quality Lab Technician at Companion Animal, you will "Own it" by taking full accountability for the integrity and safety of our companion animal nutrition products, ensuring every blend meets our rigorous quality standards before reaching the customer. Acting with purpose and care, you will execute critical inspections—including NIR and Mycotoxin testing—and manage the end-to-end sample process within LIMS to ensure total compliance with customer specifications and industry regulations. You will collaborate with intent by performing daily quality walks, reviewing production records for errors, and communicating deviations to the Q&FS Manager to resolve issues swiftly. By taking the initiative to suggest improvements to SOPs and assisting with audit preparations, you will drive results that matter, maintaining the "quality-centric culture" that defines Trouw Nutrition and Nutreco.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and accountable professional who is ready to "Own it" by taking personal responsibility for the quality and safety of our Highland Premix facility products. You are a performance-driven individual who acts with urgency and personal accountability, possessing strong deductive reasoning to ensure precise laboratory testing and production record reviews are completed on time. Whether you hold a high school diploma or a degree in a scientific field like Chemistry or Food Science, you demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to work for the success of the team and collaborate with intent across the Lab and Quality Assurance departments. We are looking for a candidate who takes initiative by identifying production defects, suggesting improvements to SOPs, and educating others on quality programs to deliver results that matter. Ultimately, you are a solution-oriented professional with a "quality-centric culture" mindset, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of animal nutrition.
You’ll also need
- Quality & Compliance Accountability: You demonstrate personal accountability by reviewing daily production records within one business day, monitoring COA verification data, and ensuring all finished products meet Nutreco monitoring standards.
- Operational Initiative: You take the lead in identifying and troubleshooting production defects, assisting with equipment calibration, and performing daily quality walks to maintain facility excellence.
- Educational & Professional Foundation: You have a High School Diploma (BS in Chemistry or Food Science preferred).
- Valid driver’s licence: Forklift experience is an asset.
