Nutreco is a global leader in Animal Nutrition and Aquaculture, employing more than 11,000 people in 35 countries. With a proven track record of success, Trouw Nutrition GB is a Nutreco company in the UK, manufacturing a wide range of animal nutrition products with a turnover of c£100million.
We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician who will be responsible for carrying out analysis by wet chemistry techniques, NIR analysis and NIR scanning.
You’ll prepare and analyse samples for vitamins (HPLC), mineral analysis (ICP) and enzymes together with NIR analysis of raw materials, feeds and forages.
With a keen focus on meeting turn-around times for analysis, you will also assist and support the senior analyst in their duties and ensure the laboratories, stock rooms and associated areas (and all equipment within) are clean and properly maintained, and that all samples are stored correctly and clearly.
To apply you should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a practical, hands-on role, preferably within an analytical Laboratory environment. Previous experience of working with databases is necessary and experience of using LIMS would be an advantage. You will be methodical in your approach and will enjoy taking care and attention over your work.
You will be computer literate, able to work on your own initiative and be used to working as part of a small, flexible team. You will be flexible in your approach and enjoy training and learning new skills.
