Documentation:
- Receives documents, materials, and oral instructions from supervisor or expedition planner.
- Checks documents for the correctness of required data for the drive.
- Checks documents of customers' ambiguities and reports anomalies to the expedition planner or manager.
- Submits documents and materials (bills/return forms, trip reports, vehicle registration, etc.) to the expedition planner or manager.
Transport:
- Loads the truck/has the truck loaded, according to data mentioned in the documents, and/or supervises the manner of loading by warehouse staff.
- Checks cargo packing for quality and reports abnormalities to supervisor.
- Transports goods by truck, combination or trailer, taking into account the specific properties of the trucks (such as payload, weight, etc.) and local traffic.
- Delivers goods within specified times to domestic customers and/or customers in a number of countries.
- Unloads the truck/lets the truck be unloaded of cargo at assigned locations (if relevant, with the aid of a forklift truck) or unloading of bags, taking into account specific customer requirements.
- Takes along returns from customers and other business sites.
- Unloads raw materials, packaging, pallets, containers and returns to the appropriate locations.
Maintenance:
- Ensures availability of the vehicle at all times, plans regular maintenance and reports any serious maintenance issues.
- Checks the operation of the engine and the technical condition of the truck (oil levels, lights, etc.).
- Performs daily necessary cleaning, maintenance and care of fuel consumption. Cleans the trucks for the loading of goods and checks whether it is empty.
- Detects and repairs minor faults on the truck and if necessary makes arrangements with the garage by the immediate supervisor.
Safety and regulations:
- Conforms to all safety and traffic regulations in order to ensure safety of goods, traffic and self.
- Maintains and files trip reports (e.g. fuel, delivery times, visits, equipment damage, etc.).
- Files and changes tachograph discs and/or other regulatory equipment according to regulations or import of digital tachograph card.
