What you'll do

Reporting to the Transport Manager, as HGV driver you will drive Class 1 vehicles to deliver our products to a variety of customers throughout the UK, from our base in Ashbourne. You will be responsible for loading and unloading the vehicles, complying with all safety and legislative requirements, completing paperwork, and acting as an ambassador of the company when visiting customers and suppliers.

What we're looking for

To be successful you will have the required class of licence, together with experience in driving HGV’s and preferably CPC qualified. You will ideally be ADR qualified, alternatively willing to undertake training. You will be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge of drivers hours legislation to which your contract will adhere to, tachograph/card procedures together with route planning and map reading skills. Knowledge of load restraint procedures and legal requirements will be important together with basic literacy and numeracy skills. You will be required to work flexibly within a small team, providing cover as required, with minimal supervision and using your own initiative.
