Join Trouw Nutrition GB as a Junior Quality Controller supporting manufacturing operations in Ashbourne. Your role will support the Quality team to ensure raw materials, production processes and finished products consistently meet quality standards, and support audits, investigations and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine quality inspections and checks on raw materials and finished products.
- Collect and manage product samples for testing and evaluation.
- Support investigations into quality complaints and non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
- Assist with internal audits and quality assurance activities.
- Work closely with Production, Operations, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Promote quality standards and best practices across the site.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality function.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards and relevant regulations.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Food Production, Feed Production or a similar environment.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (advantage).
- Exposure to quality standards such as UFAS, ISO, HACCP or GMP+ (beneficial but not essential).
- Basic IT and Excel skills required.
- Key soft skills: strong attention to detail, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement, strong organisational and prioritisation abilities, proactive self-motivation, eagerness to learn, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, teamwork and collaboration, flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
Location & Working Arrangement
- Location: Ashbourne, UK.
- Work model: On-site.
- Contract: Permanent, full-time. Rotating shift pattern across three schedules; flexibility required, occasional Saturday morning work may be requested.
