We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our corporate hospitality team in the EC3 area of London, working exclusively for a prestigious corporate client. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef with a strong background in corporate hospitality who is looking for a stable, rewarding Monday-to-Friday role with an excellent work-life balance.
Position Details
- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
- Based in EC3, London
- Relocating to the prestigious Gherkin building from September
- Occasional evening events (approximately 6-10 per year) included within the role
The Role
The successful candidate will be confident in delivering a wide range of high-quality food offerings, including:
- Hot and cold buffets
- Healthy lunch options
- Formal lunches
- Sandwich and wrap selections
- Occasional breakfast service
- Canapes
You will work with fresh, seasonal ingredients and be responsible for creating varied, creative menus while maintaining budget expectations and adapting to changing schedules when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu planning and development
- Food purchasing and supplier management
- Stock control and budgeting
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Leading and supporting a small kitchen team
- Reporting to the Chef Director and be responsible for staff training and motivation
You will manage two team members: Sous Chef and Kitchen Porter. The kitchen workload can vary, with some periods being very busy and others considerably quieter.
