What you’ll do:
- Provide support to the plant Quality function whilst acquiring fundamental engineering process knowledge and manufacturing quality competencies.
- Conduct dimensional inspections of injection moulded and stamped components and report findings in written inspection reports.
- Perform mechanical tests on components and assemblies, reporting results accurately.
- Provide input into part modification decisions considering product form and functional requirements.
- Calibrate production gauges and equipment and ensure calibration database is kept up-to-date.
- Update controlled documents and standard operating procedures.
- Support the site's internal ISO 9001 quality audit program as a trainee quality system auditor.
- Support in the administration of customer return processing.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including problem solving and root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
- GCSE or Equivalent (Maths & English level 4 or above).
Skills:
- IT Skills particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Maths is important for the role so we need level 4 or above at GCSE.
- Good verbal and written communication, able to work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Interest in engineering and technology.
