What you’ll do:

  • Provide support to the plant Quality function whilst acquiring fundamental engineering process knowledge and manufacturing quality competencies.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections of injection moulded and stamped components and report findings in written inspection reports.
  • Perform mechanical tests on components and assemblies, reporting results accurately.
  • Provide input into part modification decisions considering product form and functional requirements.
  • Calibrate production gauges and equipment and ensure calibration database is kept up-to-date.
  • Update controlled documents and standard operating procedures.
  • Support the site's internal ISO 9001 quality audit program as a trainee quality system auditor.
  • Support in the administration of customer return processing.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities including problem solving and root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE or Equivalent (Maths & English level 4 or above).

Skills:

  • IT Skills particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Maths is important for the role so we need level 4 or above at GCSE.
  • Good verbal and written communication, able to work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Interest in engineering and technology.
