What you’ll do:

  • Task Management: Assembles and tests product to agreed engineering methods and processes. Completes surveys and repairs to agreed practices. Supports and conforms to Quality procedures to maintain compliance, by ensuring adherence to the defined processes and procedures.
  • Autonomy: Is able to carry out assembly tasks without supervision.
  • Improvements: Works with team to identify and drive productivity and performance improvement opportunities to support cost reductions. Has an understanding of lean manufacturing processes and works with team. Contributes to the continuous development of the safety, health and environment requirements within the team’s work area.
  • People Management: Actively supports and progresses his/her own development needs to ensure task flexibility via the use of Skills matrix. Has an annual and interim PDR’s with Production Supervisor.
  • Communication: Attends start of shift meeting with team to understand the team's targets, any key issues/problems and any other communications (e.g. visits, health & safety issues, etc.). Attends end of shift meeting with team to review the shift and if targets and performance measures have been met. Escalation of issues to Production Supervisor in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Skills: Understands and is able to perform a number of tasks within the team. Has completed a recognised apprenticeship or experience to equivalent depth, and/or breadth. Able to demonstrate relevant experience within the skill group.
