Eaton's plant in Luton is manufacturing electrical products to control, operate and protect assets in harsh and hazardous environments. Our products are used in all types of locations (hazardous and general), from offshore oil and gas platforms, power production plants and petrochemical installations to pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and other manufacturing/process plants.
We are now looking for a HR Manager who reports into the site manager and influences the strategic direction of the plant and supports the long term plans for the facility of over 170 employees.
What you'll do:
- Coordinate and maintain HR policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department in accordance with legal, divisional and corporate guidelines.
- Coordinate, prioritize, manage and deliver corporate, sector, group, regional and divisional HR projects across the Luton site.
- Be the primary HR contact for the functional team including R&D, Division Finance and Sales & Marketing departments located at Luton, in addition to smaller teams based in Chessington.
- Lead talent processes for goal and development plan setting, assessment of talent, succession planning, training/development plans, employee survey/engagement actions and I&D activities.
- Coach managers and employees in understanding and applying HR tools.
- Lead employee relations matters across the site.
- Oversee OAD activities.
- Provide advice and guidance to leaders on employment and employee relations issues.
- Develop HR policies, practices and programs.
- Drive functional productivity and effectiveness actions to increase collaboration, integration and functional alignment.
- Promote continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 7 qualifications.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment in a senior HR role.
- Employment law knowledge.
- Managerial skills in budgeting, wage and salary administration and employee relations.
- Ideally experienced in a global/matrixed environment.
Skills:
- Strong integrity and experience in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Good change management skills to drive sustained cultural change.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to partner with different audiences.
