The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Architect to join our Professional Services team in EMEA. The Architect will work in the Services organization to help clients establish architectural vision and direction. He or she will help clients design, deploy, and migrate complex applications as well as work with software developers, consultants, and engineers to create scalable and repeatable solutions for partners.
About the Team
The Nutanix Professional Services team influences the success of each Nutanix implementation by engaging with customers in pre-sales and post-sales stages. They assist in software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture, helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully and fully realize their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The team provides assessment, design, implementation, integration, automation services, and project management.
Your Role
As an Architect, you will work closely with Nutanix customers on datacenter modernization, automation, and cloud projects. You will produce technical designs incorporating Nutanix and complementary technologies, providing technical leadership in design and build, with a focus on simplifying and automating IT landscapes.
You are an advanced virtualization technology specialist, passionate about cloud technology, with competencies in infrastructure or network virtualization and data center operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead workshops and consulting engagements with customers
- Deliver Nutanix consulting solutions effectively
- Own business outcomes for virtualization and modernization projects through requirements gathering and governance
- Create detailed design documents and perform hands-on implementation
- Collaborate with project managers on project delivery and budgets
- Provide technical input during pre-sales
- Estimate efforts for internal groups
- Maintain industry thought leadership on enterprise IT solutions and cloud services
- Identify future service opportunities within projects or customers
- Drive practice activities like developing methodologies, quality assurance, and peer reviews
- Stay current with the Nutanix product stack
Desired Experience & Skills
- Proven track record managing and delivering Professional Services projects in enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing virtualization solutions and large-scale IT migrations
- Understanding of SDDC concepts and implementations
- Experience with Nutanix AHV or other virtualization products (e.g., vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, SRM, vCloud Director, vRealize)
- At least 4 years of experience in scalable datacenter virtualization projects
- Experience integrating public cloud with on-premise technologies (Nutanix, Microsoft, VMware)
- Experience with cloud migration and operations in hybrid or cloud-only setups
- Nutanix NCP or VMware VCP certifications preferred
- Industry certifications like LPIC, MSCA, CCNA, or equivalent
- Background in Windows and Linux systems configuration and migration
- Programming skills in Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell are advantageous
- Excellent communication skills; native English preferred, additional European languages beneficial
Work Arrangement
This position is primarily remote. Occasional travel or office visits may be required based on business needs.
