Nu Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced production Welder to join our client’s growing team in Ystrad Mynach. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected manufacturing business offering long-term, full-time work in a supportive workshop environment.
You’ll be fabricating and assembling metal components, working from technical specifications to produce high-quality, structurally sound welds. This role requires hands-on mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.
Shift Patterns: Monday to Thursday only Day Shift: 6:00AM – 3:00PM | £14.11 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal materials
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures to precise specifications
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and join components
- Inspect finished welds for quality and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures on site
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve fabrication issues
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience with MIG welding
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication (preferred)
- Knowledge of stick welding (beneficial)
- Strong mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Good basic maths for accurate measuring and calculations
- Ability to assemble complex metal components with a high level of precision
Location: Ystrad Mynach – must be able to reliably commute
