Nu Staff are recruiting for Quality Inspectors to join a leading manufacturing business based in Pontypool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality to join a busy production environment on a major project running through until December.
This is a 6-month project, with a completion bonus available for candidates who successfully complete the project and meet the required criteria.
Hours of Work
- Day Shift (Training Period):
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00AM – 4:00PM
- Friday: 7:00AM – 1:00PM
Pay
£13.98 per hour
Bonus Opportunity
Bonus payment upon successful completion of the project (subject to attendance, performance, and client criteria being met).
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting components and finished products against quality standards
- Conducting visual and dimensional checks using measuring equipment
- Identifying defects, non-conformances, and quality concerns
- Recording inspection results accurately and maintaining quality documentation
- Supporting production teams to ensure quality requirements are achieved
- Assisting with investigations into quality issues and corrective actions
- Ensuring products meet customer and company specifications
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the inspection area
- Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and specifications
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
