Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our Clients dynamic team in Ystrad Mynach. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be proficient in fabricating and assembling metal components. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
Utilise hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and join metal parts.
Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues that arise.
Skills

Proficient in welding techniques, particularly MIG welding.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication is advantageous.
Knowledge of stick welding is beneficial.
Strong basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
Ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools in a workshop setting.
Solid mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
Capable of assembling complex metal structures with attention to detail.

Monday – Thursday Only
£14.11 per hour
6am – 15:30
