Machine Operator

Job Title: Machine Operator Location: Barry Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 06:00 – 14:00 or Monday – Friday 14:00 – 22:00 Job Description: We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our client’s team in Barry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s leading wood processing facility on a temp2perm basis. Key Responsibilities: Manual handling of materials and products. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the workplace. Manually feeding the planer with various lengths of wood. Changing bags on the extraction system. Recording operational data accurately. Assisting in the sorting and grading of wood. Separating good quality wood from reject wood. Performing general timber handling duties. Operating a forklift (experience preferred but not essential). Requirements: Ability to handle materials safely. Strong attention to detail Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to wearing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
