Nu Staff are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy and well-established distribution operation based in Crosskeys. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with previous supervisory or managerial experience in warehousing who is confident leading teams, managing workload, and maintaining high operational standards.
This role requires flexibility to cover both day and afternoon shifts when needed.
Hours of Work
- Day shift: 7:00AM – 3:30PM
- Flexibility required to cover afternoon shifts when necessary (Afternoon shift: 12:30PM – 9:00PM)
Pay Rate
£13.46 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all daily pick runs are completed accurately and dispatched on time
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and training to warehouse staff
- Maximise productivity while minimising errors
- Identify process flaws and implement improvements
- Oversee training and onboarding of all new warehouse staff
- Identify team members requiring additional support or training
- Ensure all orders are picked, packed, pallet-wrapped, and labelled correctly
- Plan staffing levels and request additional labour where required
- Manage staff holiday requests in liaison with the Warehouse Manager
- Oversee customer distributions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain clean, tidy work areas and ensure fire exits remain clear
- Prioritise and manage urgent “must go” orders
- Ensure waste is segregated correctly
- Oversee completion of weekly Health & Safety walk-round checklists
- Resolve picking, process, and system issues throughout the working day
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
