Company Mission
Nusku is leading the energy transition with a revolutionary new heating system that enables a seamless shift away from gas boilers to a more affordable and greener solution. Our mission is not only to reduce the carbon emissions from the UK’s 29 million homes, which currently account for 20% of the UK’s CO2 footprint, but also to reshape how people think about home heating. We are driven by innovation and long-term sustainability, developing products that are efficient, reliable and accessible. By bringing breakthrough technology into everyday homes, we aim to improve comfort for our customers, lower energy costs, and accelerate the UK’s journey to net zero.
Who you are
We are looking for a capable and motivated Project Manager to help coordinate the delivery of our product development, New Product Introduction and field trial activities. This role would suit someone who enjoys bringing structure, pace and clarity to complex engineering work. You will be comfortable working across design, software, manufacturing, procurement, validation and customer-facing activities, helping the team turn ideas, prototypes and engineering decisions into well-managed delivery plans. You will be organised, pragmatic and confident working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve as the product develops. You will be able to challenge constructively, communicate clearly, and help technical teams make good decisions at the right time. Most importantly, you will want your project management skills to contribute to a mission that matters: helping Nusku bring a lower-carbon heating solution into real homes.
What the job involves
As Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating product development, supporting NPI manufacturing readiness and helping manage field trials. Responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating and tracking product development projects across engineering, software, procurement, manufacturing and validation teams.
- Supporting the delivery of New Product Introduction activities, ensuring project plans align with prototype builds, manufacturing readiness, supplier inputs, test activity and launch requirements.
- Helping define project scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, actions and decision points across multiple workstreams.
- Working with engineering leads to ensure design, behaviour, implementation and validation activities are properly aligned before release decisions are made.
- Supporting field trials and pilot deployments, including trial planning, readiness reviews, participant coordination, feedback capture, issue tracking and close-out.
- Maintaining project plans, action logs, risk registers, issue trackers and decision records so that the wider team has clear visibility of status and priorities.
- Coordinating cross-functional meetings and reviews, ensuring actions are owned, followed up and closed in a timely way.
- Helping establish practical project governance appropriate for a fast-growing engineering business, including stage gates, readiness reviews and release criteria.
- Supporting communication between internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, installers, customers and external partners where required.
- Escalating risks and blockers early, and helping the team identify pragmatic options to keep delivery moving.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in how Nusku manages projects, product development, NPI and field validation.
How we work
We are a committed team, driven to improve the heat pump experience for our customers and reduce the carbon emissions of home heating. We expect you to share these values and contribute to this mission. This is an office-based role, working closely with our engineering, manufacturing, procurement and field teams from our Bristol site. The role depends on regular face-to-face collaboration, active project coordination and close involvement with product development and delivery activity. Occasional home working may be possible where it fits with project needs, but applicants should expect this to be a predominantly site-based position. Some domestic travel may also be required to support suppliers, manufacturing partners, trial sites, installers or field activities.

- Around 5 years’ experience managing projects in an engineering, manufacturing, product development, technology or similarly complex delivery environment.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, software, validation or customer-facing workstreams.
- Strong understanding of project planning, risk management, action tracking, stakeholder communication and project governance.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction, product launch, pilot deployment, field trials or customer validation activities.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain clear visibility of priorities, risks and dependencies.
- Clear and confident communication style, with the ability to work constructively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A practical, delivery-focused approach with initiative, drive and attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in consumer products, HVAC, home appliances, energy systems or connected/IoT products.
- Experience working in a start-up, scale-up or fast-changing engineering environment.
