Contract: Full-time, permanent
Shift pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off, including 2 sleep-ins. Weekends and bank holidays required.
Salary: £18.00 - £21.00 per hour + £60 per sleep-in

A therapeutic children's residential home in Edgware supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences. We are looking for a Deputy Manager who is ready to develop into a Registered Manager role. The post combines hands-on leadership with operational responsibility, safeguarding and high-quality therapeutic practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and support the staff team on shift, modelling high standards of therapeutic and relational practice
- Deputise for the Registered Manager, ensuring the home runs safely and effectively in their absence
- Oversee and contribute to care planning, risk assessments, daily records and statutory documentation
- Champion safeguarding, manage complex behaviours and promote positive outcomes for young people
- Support staff development through supervision, reflective practice and on-the-job coaching
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team, social workers, education providers and families
- Actively progress toward Registered Manager status (Level 5 Diploma)
